The Practitioners

Bruna Tamai

Pilates Teacher

I help people developing, or rediscovering, a healthy body movement through strengthening, stretching and mobilising the entire body.

The way Pilates system works is through some slow, deliberate, controlled movements where focus, awareness of the breath and how you move, are encouraged.

Yes, Pilates works on strengthening the core, but core is not everything to a healthy, strong body.

I work in a more holistic way where I look at the person as whole, not just a body.

I offer one-to-one session at all levels. Appointments are £45 for one hour.

I also run group classes from the new Studio at Riverside Wellbeing.

Joanne Frazer (she/her)

Counsellor in Training

I’m Jo, a counsellor in training with over 20 years of experience working in care and mental health support. Counselling is something I felt drawn to for a long time, but like many people, taking the step back into study felt daunting. What brought me here was a deep belief in how powerful it is to have a space where you can begin to understand yourself, with someone you trust beside you.

Over the past two decades, I’ve supported adults with learning and physical disabilities, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges. I understand that people don’t always express what they feel in obvious ways, and that being truly listened to can be life-changing, especially for those who’ve spent years feeling different, misunderstood, or like they don’t quite fit.

I’m warm, empathetic, humorous and down-to-earth. I offer counselling that is inclusive, respectful, and rooted in real-life experience, not assumptions. As a queer woman and strong advocate for inclusion, I’m particularly passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, neurodivergent clients, and women experiencing menopause-related changes.

Above all, I want therapy to feel like a place where you can stop performing, feel safe to be yourself, and begin to find your voice again.

Appointments cost £25 as part of our commitment to providing  low-cost counselling services.

I’m clinically supervised and accredited member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy). I have an enhanced DBS certification and full personal indemnity insurance.

Clare Savory

SOUND THERAPIST WITH 20+ YEARS EXPERIENCE IN AUDIO AND RADIO – FOUNDER OF FEELING SOUND

At Feeling Sound, I combine ancient sound practices with modern neuroscience
to help you feel safe, supported and sound again.
My sessions are:
Grounded in science
Welcoming to all genders, ages 14+
Accessible, still and respectful of personal space
Rooted in nature, reflecting life’s natural rhythms
Whether you’re grieving, stressed or just exhausted, you’re welcome here.
This is your time to reset – no guilt, no pressure. As a musician, sound has been the backbone to everything I’ve done for the last 20+ years. I’ve used music to soothe me, energise me, grieve and sleep. (Perhaps you do too?) It’s always been the best medicine for me. But until I studied with the British Academy of Sound Therapy, I had no clue about the neuroscience of how it actually worked.

Now as a qualified sound therapist and meditation teacher, I create tailored experiences to help you find a personalised solution of what rest or meditation can look like for you. Curious? I regularly host group and private experiences at Riverside to support those looking to rest and destress.

Jan Horvath

INTEGRATIVE COUNSELLOR

Hello, I’m Jan-marc (Yan) – an integrative counsellor based in the Peak District.

I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and move forward, even when things feel uncertain or stuck. My role is to support you in making sense of what you’re going through and help you find a way ahead that feels right for you.

I work with adults (18+) experiencing a range of challenges, including:

  • Anxiety, low mood, or feeling stuck

  • Burnout, stress, and overwhelm – including work-related stress

  • Low self-esteem, self-doubt, and inner criticism

  • Relationship or family difficulties

  • Trauma, emotional abuse, or unresolved past experiences

  • Life with neurodiversity – navigating the world in your own way

  • A general sense of feeling lost, low, or unsure how to move forward

My approach is warm, grounded, and down-to-earth. I aim to create a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on at your own pace. I’ll meet you where you are and draw on a range of approaches – including person-centred therapy, CBT, Transactional Analysis, mindfulness, and solution-focused work – depending on what fits you best.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked for nearly 20 years as a registered mental health nurse (RMN). I’m also a long-time Buddhist practitioner and have been guiding mindfulness and meditation groups for over two decades. These experiences often inform the way I support clients in finding steadiness and resilience during challenging times.

Whether you’re facing a particular issue or simply want to understand yourself more deeply, I’m here to support you.

I offer a free initial phone conversation so we can explore whether working together feels right for you.

Tracey Jackson

MINDSET & HEALING PRACTITIONER

“Believe in yourself and know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.”

My integrated approach combines mindset coaching, hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP, EFT tapping, Accredited Reiki Healing and Past Life Regression. Whether you seek practical tools, emotional healing, energy balance or deeper insight, I work intuitively and ethically, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs.

You may not realise how past experiences are holding you back, preventing you from living the joy, peace and purpose you deserve. I provide a gentle, safe space to uncover these hidden barriers and move beyond limitations, making room for what truly matters to you.

My mission is to awaken your inner bravery, helping you overcome challenges to discover self-worth and self-love, unlocking a future filled with endless possibilities.

I have dedicated over a decade to studying the intricacies of the mind. Inspired by Joseph Murphy’s transformative book, The Power of the Subconscious Mind, this journey has equipped me with profound insights and techniques to those who feel stuck and ready for change — you are only ever a thought away from change.

Samantha Reece

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

I am an experienced Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting people to improve their health, wellbeing, and everyday function. I take a holistic, person-centred approach, recognising that every individual has unique strengths, challenges, and goals.
Drawing on my extensive clinical experience, I work collaboratively with clients to understand what matters most to them and to develop practical, meaningful strategies that support positive change. I am committed to helping people build confidence, improve independence, and achieve greater balance in their daily lives.
I believe that wellbeing is about more than managing difficulties; it is about enabling people to participate in the activities, roles, and routines that give life meaning and purpose. My warm, supportive approach creates a safe space for individuals to explore challenges, identify opportunities for growth, and work towards a more fulfilling and rewarding life.

Marianne Sharpe

SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPIST & MOVEMENT SPECIALIST

I am a Level 5 qualified Sports Massage Therapist with extensive experience supporting individuals from grassroots participants to elite athletes. My approach is shaped by my own sporting career, where I experienced a serious injury ahead of a major competition. Thanks to specialist treatment, I was able to return to performance at the highest level – a turning point that inspired me to help others stay active, recover well and continue doing what matters to them.

Since qualifying in 2017, I have developed a wide range of techniques that go beyond standard massage, drawing on movement assessment, soft tissue therapy and practical rehabilitation strategies. I work with people from all walks of life: whether you are experiencing restricted movement at work, recovering from injury, or looking to improve physical performance, my focus is the same – supporting you to feel comfortable in your body and confident in your capabilities.

I take a personalised approach to every session, beginning by listening to your goals, assessing your range of movement and understanding how your lifestyle or sport affects your body. My treatments aim to reduce pain, release muscular tension and improve functional movement, while also helping you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and how to maintain progress beyond the treatment room.

Clients often leave sessions feeling more at ease in their body, with improved mobility and a clearer sense of how to move forward toward their goals – whether that’s returning to sport, improving everyday movement, or simply feeling more in control of their physical wellbeing.

Prices start from £50 per hour
